WORKS

The wonders of nature, the mysteries of the oceans and strange creatures. A hot love that overcomes the cruel world of nature and intertwined destinies you will never forget. Finally, a surprising denouement. Thanks to your support, a book is being made – a romantic comedy drama for all mischievous children and families.

Let the story take you to one big natural laboratory. You will observe the birth of new life at close range. A little lizard will find its place in this world and it won’t be easy. Especially when she discovers that she is different. Witness her frantic flight halfway across the world and her fateful encounter. Will she be able to find love in her new life and give love too? You might guess the answer, but the road to a happy ending isn’t easy even in a fairy tale.

There are enough children in the human world who are like our little lizard. They are not dealt the best cards at the beginning of life and have to start out on their own, without parents. On the other hand, there are families who miss their children. Adoption is a way to right the wrongs of fate and turn two sad situations into one hope for happier lives.

Frenky is a book about adoption and will be most enjoyable for parents and children who have gone through or are going through this process. But it is definitely not exclusively for adoptive families and will delight all parents and children who see love, joy and lots of fun as the foundation of a family.“

Three maps, one birthplace. Three epochs, one sorrow. A common thread of high ambitions, dashed hopes, and betrayed ideals runs through them all. Naďa’s failing health forces her to confront her moral principles. It is her body and she can use it the way she wants. Jaro, in the midst of the post-Communist transition, undergoes a profound life review as he loses all his illusions. Adam represents the culmination of these intertwined stories, emerging as the first man in an uncertain and fluid future world, easy-going, weary-falling.

These stories really happened. I mean, they didn’t happen entirely in reality, but only in fantasy. In imagination. They happened to a little girl named Lesanka in a country called Lesankovo. Children have a hard time with fantasies sometimes. But they’re often better off in them than in the adult world. It pretty much sucks, and kids know it. But they don’t say it so as not to hurt their parents. But the stories entertain children and adults alike. In this little book are the best ones, found in a notebook, but also in Lesanka’s dad’s old computer and notebook, in Lesanka’s first and second letters, in her friend Kity Bety’s memoir, and in Lesanka’s mom’s secret diary. Welcome to Lesankovo, where stories only happen as if. These are to amuse you all.

The first Slovak comprehensive book on the crisis!

Why has the crisis hit the core of the world economy and only touched the periphery? How is it possible that financial speculation leads to price rises and famines? Can the crisis be stopped by printing money? Did only the countries with debts sin, or even those with budget surpluses? The authors trace the crisis from its beginning and provide unconventional and insightful answers to common questions.
The financial and economic crisis that has hit both advanced and emerging economies is not the work of the lazy Greeks or Spaniards, as populists try to make the public believe.
The economists Joachim Becker and Ivan Lesay, in their book Life on Credit, see the roots of the crisis in economic growth strategies that were built on illusory assumptions. They analyse not only the causes of the crisis and its spread from the US to the rest of the world, but also critically assess how individual governments and organisations have responded to the outbreak. They also look at how Slovakia was affected by the crisis and how it coped with it.
The authors hope that the history of the 1930s, when restrictive measures led to tragic consequences, will not be repeated.

How Year met his twelve mischievous offsprings

The story of the personified character Year, who wanders the earth and meets in various forms the individual months, can become a great guide for the little ones, even a little older, how to get acquainted with the „human“ characters of the individual months and understand their uniqueness and specificity in the different seasons, places and situations.
